October – It’s About Caring For Kids (IACKids)
IACKids was formed for the charitable purpose of aiding families living in the Greater Rochester New York region who are in need of financial assistance during their child’s long-term inpatient / outpatient hospitalization.
IACKids will provide such individuals with financial assistance if they are unable to afford their housing, transportation, and / or medical costs. Through hard work, thoughtful giving and selflessness, and a focus on the needs of these children, IACKids and its supporters strive to offer the much-needed assistance to get through these troubling times.
Camp Get-A-Way is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the mission of strengthening and supporting families of children having an emotional, behavioral, or mental illness. The concept for the camp was developed by parents living in the WNY area to offer whole family opportunities for recreational and skill building activities while living with a child with an emotional, behavioral, or mental illness disability. Offer families the chance to rediscover the joy of being a family without the worry of discrimination or the stigma associated with mental health issues and allow parents to connect with and support other parents faced with similar challenges.

Here at MOPS, we gather and support moms. We believe in the simple but revolutionary idea that remarkable things happen when moms come together, face to face. That’s why we rally women to come together in their own neighborhoods and help each other through this thing called motherhood, one gathering at a time.
Our acronym stands for “Mothers of Preschoolers” because we began in 1973 when a group of moms of young children banded together to share their lives and parenting journeys. Over the past forty-five years, MOPS has expanded our reach to include moms with older kids, partnering with churches and organizations worldwide to equip and encourage moms in more than 60 countries.
K9 Orphans, Inc. is a nonprofit all breed canine rescue out of Rochester, NY that works with high kill shelters, homeless dogs, and owner surrender dogs to prevent euthanasia. We do not have a shelter or kennel, our dogs are placed into foster homes where they receive lots of love, training, and any medical care they need can be provided to them while they wait for their forever homes. We have foster homes across Western NY. We also strive to educate the public about the importance of Spay/Neutering, basic obedience, and care of their canines.
Our goal is to make a lifetime match for you and our orphans.
