Job Type: Part-time – Monday & Wednesday (8:45am-5:30pm), Friday (8:45am-5:00pm)
Pay: $18/hour

VanScoter Insurance Agency, LLC ( an independent property & casualty (auto, home, business, and life insurance) insurance agency is looking for a part-time Customer Service Representative Monday & Wednesday (8:45am-5:30pm), Friday (8:45am-5:00pm).
We care about our employees and like to show them how much we value them. Not only with financial rewards like bonuses and gifts, but with Agency events. Some of our recent events have been an evening a Red Wings Baseball game, Batavia Downs for dinner and gambling, go-kart racing, Escape Room (we did escape!), Bowling, annual holiday party.
We give back to our community through our charitable giving program that has donated over $15,000 to various charities selected by our staff since 2019.


Office hours are Monday – Thursday 8:45am-5:30pm and Friday 8:45am-5pm and 45 minutes for lunch. Looking for someone to work Monday, Wednesday and Friday’s.


The Customer Service Representative/Administrative position is responsible for:
  • Answering the phone
  • Processing client payments
  • Monitor client payment status
  • Assist client’s in filing claims
  • Follow-up on the claims status
  • Input information into database for incoming leads
  • Issue certificates of insurance for clients
  • Monitor Agency texting line
  • Process Agency mail
  • It’s a small office, so you need to be willing to pitch in a help where ever is necessary.
Looking for someone who sees something that needs to be done and does it!
A candidate must be customer focused, always looking out for the best interest of the client/prospect. Candidates should possess the following qualities:
  • Outgoing
  • Personable
  • Sense of humor – we like to have a good time and hope you do as well.
  • Upbeat
  • You must be able to project your smile over the phone (the majority of our interaction is over the phone)
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Reliable
  • Whiners or complainers need not apply, we are an upbeat office and like to keep it that way 🙂

COVID-19 considerations:
To keep our employees safe during this crazy time, we have closed the office to the public and are working as a virtual office. Some of our current staff members are working from home. We have hand sanitizer and cleaning supplies at each desk.
